The Australian federal-government-funded National Skills commissions of 2022 have released a Skills priority list. In 2021 the list had a national shortage of 153 types of occupations, in 2022 the number has gone up to 286. “The staggering jump in occupations listed reinforces the urgent need to tackle skills shortages,”- Skills Minister Brendan O’Connor. The demand for skilled professionals calls for the reconsideration of visa processing and structures.
