When will my Australian visa application be rejected?
Once you’ve made the decision to immigrate to Australia you will have to apply for an Australian visa. Visa applications can be quite complicated and Australia, as with all other countries, will not approve a visa application if it does not meet the minimum application requirements. Your application could even be rejected when it is incomplete or if supporting documentation is missing. To have the best chance of success make sure your application meets the requirements below.
Your visa application could be refused for a number of reasons. You have not met the conditions of a previous visa, you did not provide enough information to prove the claims you made in your application, perhaps you do not meet Australia’s health or character requirements or you gave the wrong information, or made a false claim in your application.
Applicants who cannot prove that they are healthy and won’t pose a burden on the Australian health care system stand the chance of their application being unsuccessful. The Australian immigration department require applicants to furnish test results for HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis or Hepatitis testing.
Proven English Language skills
Applicants are required to submit IELTS, PTE or TOFEL certificates as a proof of their English language skills. The visa application may get rejected if the applicant failed to meet this requirement.
Complete and substantiated information
One of the biggest (yet most avoidable) reasons behind the visa refusal is applicants don’t provide sufficient information to prove their claims made in the application.
If the Department of Immigration found that the information or claims made in the application are false. The applicant can be charged with visa fraud on the basis of wrong information provided. He/she will either be expelled or prohibited from entering Australia forever.
Be a model citizen
If you have been found guilty of a crime anywhere in the world Australia is unlikely to approve your application. Every applicant must attach a police clearance certificate to their application.
Make sure you can prove you have enough funds to support you during your stay
It is one of the major reasons for the Australian Visa refusal. The applicant needs to satisfy the DIBP by providing enough documents of the financial stability. Financial support documents can either be from the home country or from a person who is granted visa for Australia.
Australia allows applicants to choose an occupation from the relevant occupation list to apply for visa. If the occupation you have chosen doesn’t match your skills assessment, and work experience, your application is likely to get rejected. To avoid this, always choose your occupation wisely for nomination and get the relevant skill assessment as well.
