The USA’s EB-5 visa is still your best and quickest path to America

A growing concern about the effects and execution of land expropriation plans, a failing educational system being held hostage by students claiming ‘fees must fall’, daily violent protesting and the destruction of infrastructure – even burning down police stations – is leaving South Africans awkwardly perched on the edge of their seats unsure of what to expect next.

The pressure cooker-like situation in the country has already prompted a record breaking immigration year and immigration agencies are reporting a notable increase in South Africans, of all races, inquiring about emigrating.

America’s EB-5 investor visa is drawing a lot of interest says Robbie Ragless of Cape Town-based New World Immigration.

“Interested applicants could still benefit from the relatively low minimum required investment amount of USD 500,000.  But this could  soon increase, if the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) have their way,” commented Ragless adding that the minimum required investment amount could soon increase to USD 1.3 million.

Earlier this month news reports showed that South Africa is on track to breaking emigration records with the UK, USA, Canada and Australia benefiting most from the exodus.  According to UK-based data analyst specialists, PEW Research, South Africa has seen a significantly growing rise in locals packing their bags for a life elsewhere.

When looking at South Africa’s data, Pew Research found that at least 900,000 people born in South Africa were currently living in other countries in 2017, 100,000 of them chose to move to the USA.

Many South African’s planning a move to the US opt for the EB-5 visa as it guarantees them a no-fuss immigration guarantee for an investment of USD 500,00. By obtaining an EB-5 visa foreign nationals chasing the American Dream now have a straight forward, uncomplicated and almost guaranteed entry into the USA with the right to live, work, conduct business and even study there.

Overview of the EB-5 visa

The EB-5 program "affords foreign nationals and their spouses and unmarried children under age 21 the ability to obtain a U.S. visa based solely upon a minimum investment in a for-profit enterprise that creates or retains a specified number of jobs,” states the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services on their website.

“To obtain the visa, individuals must invest USD 500,000 in a Targeted Employment Area - high unemployment or rural area creating or preserving at least 10 jobs for U.S. workers excluding the investor and their immediate family.

“If the foreign national investor's petition is approved, the investor and their dependents will be granted conditional permanent residence valid for two years but with evidence that the investor has fulfilled the requirements of the visa permanent residency may be granted.  No other visa or entry requirements need to be met.”

Where your investment will be applied

By employing NWI’s professional visa services your investment will be directed to the same project as all other clients’ investments.  NWI strategically selected the Florida Growth Equity Fund Regional Centre as beneficiary of investments made by NWI clients.  The project was hand-picked as it also enjoys a measure of state funding ensuring its ultimate success.  The investment will be applied towards the centre’s Assisted Care Living facility.  Essentially your investment will be used to develop health care and service for the elderly.

By pre-selecting the investment project NWI made sure that your investment will meet all legal requirements as set out in Volume 6, Part G of the USCIS Policy Manual.  It also means that we did our home work in terms of meeting the job creation requirement part of the visa.
