A list of yellow fever countries 2014-2015
Each and every person entering South Africa who has travelled from a yellow fever risk country should provide a yellow fever certificate which shows proof of vaccination.
The yellow fever vaccination certificate is valid for 10 years, but most importantly must be approved by the World Health Organization and you should receive your vaccination at the nearest approved vaccination centre.
Any person who refuses to provide a yellow fever certificate will either be denied entry into the Republic of South Africa or undergo a quarantine for a period of 6 days. Those who are in possession of an exemption certificate due to medical reasons must report any other fever symptoms to health authorities before they are allowed entry into South Africa and must be placed under surveillance.
