Check your status of your visa/permit
It’s your first time in South Africa and you’ve recently submitted your temporary residence application to the Department of Home Affairs and you’re anxiously waiting in anticipation for the 60 – 80 day waiting period for home affairs to process your application.
Now you’re able to track your application in 4 ways to give you peace of mind;
• Check your application status online with DHA’s website - http://www.dha.gov.za/status/
• Call the Department of Home Affairs call centre on 0800 6011 90 to follow up on your application and you may leave notes to the official in charge of your application but keep your reference number on hand for the call centre consultant.
• Pay a visit to the nearest Department of Home Affairs but have your passport and your receipt with you to do a follow up with an immigration officer and always remember to be there early to try and avoid long queues at the Department.
• If you’re onboard with New World Immigration, then no need to worry as we would do the necessary weekly follow ups for you and have your permit or visa delivered to your door step once it has been approved.
