Guide to apply for a South African Police Clearance

We have many clients wanting to find out how to apply for a South African police clearance quickly. Here is something we have learnt being in the industry.

1.    Have fingerprints taken

You can do this at any police station OR at her nearest South African Embassy The person who takes the finger prints must sign the document This original fingerprint document must be given to Irina

2.    Make the payment of R59 ZAR

The easiest way to do this will be electronically using the following details:

The National Commissioner of the South African Police Service ABSA Cheque account Account number 4054522787 Branch code 632005 Swift code ABSAZAJJ Reference on the payment should be:  R EGG PCC Then print out proof of this payment

3.    Prepare the following for sending:

  • Original fingerprint form
  • Proof of the payment made
  • Copy of your passport ID page

4.    Send using courier (We recommend courier because it is the fastest)

The Head of the South African Criminal Record Centre (For attention: Police Clearance Certificates) Bothongo Plaza West CRC Client Service Centre 1st Floor, Room 14

271 Frances Baard Street

It takes approximately 2 weeks and upon completion we can arrange to have it collected and sent to you by courier.

The reason for us recommending courier is because it is faster and much more reliable than using the South African Postal service
