Home Affairs gone fishing
Today the Department of Home Affairs in Cape Town, 56 Barrack Street has refused any foreigner or immigration practitioners to submit any application. A trusted source within the Department has confirmed that Cape Town –Home Affairs will refuse all visa applications until the newly contracted VFS successfully opens its doors to the public on 20th June 2014.
Home Affairs has once again proved itself as inefficient and inadequate to implement any strategy and therefore punishing foreigners for their short comings.
Why would home affairs not accept applications until VFS is up and running?
What happens to foreigners who would like to submit a visa application? Do they wait for their visa to expire and wait for Home Affairs to deport them?
What will the Immigration department be doing for an entire 3 weeks until VFS opens its doors? Fishing maybe? A much needed vacation away from processing applications?
