Home Affairs Remains Silent

During the month of February 2014, the Department of Home Affairs announced new immigration regulations to be brought into play by 1st April 2014. Many of these new draft laws were welcomed and some unwelcomed by us and foreign nationals as most of these new changes needs clarification.

To clear all confusion amongst foreigners, the Department of Home Affairs is still operating according to the old legislation, but exercise with caution as Home Affairs is notoriously known for implementing new legislation without any prior notice.

Any foreign nationals thinking of applying for the following visa/permits would need to do so carefully as the law could change at any moment;

Quota Permit

Life Partner Permit

Exceptional Skills Permit

If you are thinking of applying for any one of the above mentioned permits anytime soon, then its best you prepare yourself as your application may not be submitted in due time. Work permits are more of a lengthy process with regards to documents as it does take some weeks to obtain certain documents.

New World Immigration constantly has its finger on the pulse and will continue to inform you of any law changes.
