It does not matter what level of education you are looking to enrol in, the fact remains that you will need to get your hands on a study permit. No institution in South Africa can register any international student unless they have a valid study permit.
Applying for the Study Permit

•    Your valid passport – it needs to be valid for a minimum of 30 days longer than the application period.
•    Three months banks statements will be needed to prove that you are able to pay for your studies and the cost of living.
•    Proof that you have medical insurance that is recognised by the South Africa government. A medical certificate will also be necessary, as well as a report from a radiologist.
•    A letter of permission from your parents if you are younger than 18 years of age. Minors need to get a letter from the person in SA who will be acting as there guardian. Police clearance is needed if you are over 18 years of age.
•    Your official letter of acceptance from the institution that you intend studying at.
