New Regulations for South African Tourist Visas
South Africa is one of the most desired places in the world because of our friendly people, amazing scenery and modern infrastructure. The world cup has certainly assisted in reaching groundbreaking records of tourist visits in 2010 and still continuing to increase each year.
Foreigners often flock to South Africa to avoid the winter season in their country of residence and has normally entered with a 90 day visa, then extending their visa for a further 90 days. This option has always been popular between European, UK and USA citizens avoiding winter to soak up some sun in South Africa.
The new regulations will complicate things for tourist or business men/women who intend to stay more than 90 days in South Africa, would need to provide police clearence certificates from all countries they lived in since the age of 18.
